About Aldona

We offer unique and innovative contemporary designs that have both style, sophistication and are guaranteed to stand out from the crowd.

Our designs feature art sculpture and jewellery using simple forms that are hand cut and produced in our Edinburgh based studio.

Aldona Juska has created a unique range of art out of scrap, steel and copper. Recently described in the Scotsman as the most promising undiscovered artist in Scotland she is building a following within the gallery and architectural design community. The mainstay of her work is botanical art from single stems to large complex pieces combined together to produce candelabras. She has been invited to exhibit in several European cities most recently Munich and Florence.

Aldona specializes in botanical art sculptures and jewellery. She produces genuinely innovative work that is affordable, colourful, fun and  lively with movement and attitude. She achieves a delicacy of form and warmth of burnished colour and produces, highly unusual jewellery, interior accessories and free standing sculptures.”

About the product

Fire is used to produce the natural warm earth colours that create a unique patina for each piece. Slight variations in colour are to be expected. The copper is then lacquered.

Copper can tarnish even with a protective coating applied to it. Skin secretions, perfume and cosmetics can sometimes eat away at the lacquer coating. A coat of clear nail varnish re-applied to the back of a piece is usually enough to re-seal the copper and prevent further tarnishing.

Our copper jewellery is embellished with semi precious stones, genuine Swarovski crystals and glass beads. We use hypo allergenic gold plated ear wires and all findings are nickel free and safe to wear for customers who have nickel allergies. We use recycled copper.
